Kumuka Worldwide release NEW Asia brochure 07-08
Sydney, 06 November 2006, - Kumuka Worldwide are pleased to
announce the release of their new Asia brochure featuring small
group tours in China, India, Tibet, Nepal, Bhutan, Sri Lanka,
SE Asia and Borneo.
Travellers on a Kumuka small group tour in Asia enjoy a highly
inclusive price, which includes numerous activities, sightseeing
and entrance fees. Tours are fully escorted by professional
and knowledgeable tour guides who ensure that travellers get
the most out of their trip to this fascinating region.
Kumuka use quality 3 or 4 star local hotels in urban areas
and comfortable lodges in the more remote rural areas. Teahouses
are used on trekking trips in Nepal. Transportation is mainly
in mini-buses, however trains, boats and internal flights are
also used to allow the most comfort, flexibility, and safety
for the long hauls.
A number of new tours have been launched this year to cater
for the increased demand experienced by Kumuka Worldwide throughout
2006.
The “Highlights of India” is a new 9-Day tour of
India. This is a great introduction to some of the most popular
destinations in India such as Delhi, the Taj Mahal, Varanasi,
and Jaipur. This tour is priced at $1125 per person.
For the first time, the land of the peaceful thunder dragon,
Bhutan, will be included in Kumuka’s Asia brochure. This
remote and ancient mountain kingdom was closed to foreigners
for many years, but has now opened its doors to a limited number
of travellers each year. The 9-day “Bhutan, the Dragon
Kingdom” tour is priced at $2780. Travellers on this tour
will visit serenely beautiful monasteries, ancient fortresses
and travel through picturesque landscapes of spectacular mountain
ranges, lush valleys and pine forests.
Kumuka have introduced several family adventure tours ranging
from 9-14 days in China, India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Vietnam and
Thailand. The tours are suitable for children as young as 6
years, except Nepal where it is 8 years. The “Chinese
Kites, Warriors & Pandas”, priced at $1585 per adult
and $1470 per child, is an action packed tour that takes in
not only the major highlights of China, but also includes Chinese
cooking lessons, kite flying, pandas and acrobatic shows. The
“Tigers, Temples and Taj Mahal” tour priced at $1645
per person is a fantastic way to introduce the family to the
rich history and traditions of the fascinating and colourful
country of India.
For the more adventurous, the 11-day “Action Vietnam”
is a new tour priced at $1530. This includes trekking and cycling
in Mai Chau Mountains & Rainforests, homestays with Hilltribes,
and kayaking through the UNESCO World Heritage site of Halong
Bay.
An alternative destination to commemorate Anzac Day is Hellfire
Pass in Thailand. Every year a dawn service is held at Hellfire
Pass, followed by a memorial service at the Kanchanaburi Allied
War cemetery. Kumuka have a 4-day tour departing from Bangkok
on 23 April 07 for $525.
For travellers to Nepal, Kumuka continue to offer fully guided
trekking tours staying in local teahouses. The 14-day “Annapurna
Base Camp” tour is priced at $1060. The 20-day “Everest
Base Camp & Gokyo Lakes” tour is priced at $1645.
An exciting option for those wishing to travel to Tibet is
the 12-day “The Forbidden Land” tour priced at $2120
which includes the Potala Palace, Tahilumpo Monastery, Dzong
fort and a short trek to the Tibetan Everest Base Camp.
The new brochure includes a range of tours in South East Asia.
The 15-day “Vietnam Discovered” tour, priced at
$1645, is a great way to travel from North to South in this
fascinating country.
Kumuka Worldwide is proud to support UNICEF. Kumuka will donate
$50 to UNICEF Australia for every Asia booking made from the
new brochure. The money that is raised will be used by UNICEF
for vital water and sanitation projects across Asia.
