Leading Adventure Tour operator, Kumuka Worldwide, has an exciting
range of Asia Family Tours available.
Asia is the ultimate destination for families, with a host of
different and exciting activities to keep any family busy, as
well as a variety of cultures, histories, sights and experiences
to tantalise even the youngest traveller.
The aim of a Kumuka Family Holiday in Asia is to provide families
with a genuine experience of the country and its culture, without
the hassle of trying to manage and organise such a trip independently.
Child and adult friendly activities and excursions have been
carefully planned, transport is comfortable and clean, and hotels
have been specifically chosen for their facilities and family
friendly standards. The tours include a mixture of sightseeing
and free time, and experienced guides will always assist you
to make the most of your opportunities and time in these areas.
Kumuka have family adventures ranging from 9-14 days in China,
India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Vietnam and Thailand. The tours are
suitable for children as young as 6 years except Nepal which
is 8 years. Groups are up to a maximum of 16 people except in
Nepal which is 12.
The “Chinese kites, Warriors & Pandas”, priced
at $1585 per adult and $1470 per child, is an action packed

also includes Chinese cooking lessons, kite flying, pandas and
acrobatic shows. Travellers walk along the Great Wall, explore
the Forbidden City, Tian’an Men Square and the Summer
Palace. Next stop is Xi’an, where we wander through the
bustling Muslim Quarter, cycle along the City Wall looking down
over Xi’an and learn how to make Chinese noodles. We visit
the Terracotta Army, each warrior with its own unique features,
and learn how the army was unearthed after 2000 years of burial.
From Xi’an we fly to Shanghai, and visit the Yu Gardens,
the Bund Area and Shanghai Museum. We cruise along the Huangpu
River, take a boat trip in the Zhujiajiao Water Town and spend
an evening at an Acrobatic Show.
The “Tigers, Temples and Taj Mahal” tour priced
at $1645 per person is a fantastic way to introduce the family
to the rich history and traditions of the fascinating and colourful
country of India. This tour takes us to the palaces of Maharajas,
past and present, and from small villages to the bustling city
of Delhi. We visit the Taj Mahal, the tigers of Ranthambore,
a camel breeding farm and wander around the forts of Junagarh
and Mehrangah. A mixture of local transport includes camels,
bicycle rickshaws, jeeps and boats. We look for birds in the
Keoladeo National Park and tigers and sloth bears in Ranthambore
National Park. We explore the beautiful city of Japiur, also
called the ‘Pink City’ - with its City and Amber
Palaces. We discover the abandoned and ruined ghost city and
ancient capital of the Mughal Dynasty, Fatehpur Sikri, and we
visit Pushkar – home of the famous annual camel fair.
The “Magical Forests, Tunnels and Beaches” tour
priced at $1930 per adult and $1455 per child, journeys from
the north to the south of Vietnam. We start our tour in the
northern capital Hanoi, where we explore the magical old quarter
and French colonial districts by cyclo, and in the evening watch
the famous Water Puppet Show. We drive through the beautiful
Ninh Binh province to Cuc Phuong, Vietnam’s oldest National
Park and home to an amazing variety of wildlife. We visit the
Endangered Primate Rescue Centre and watch a traditional dance
by Muong villagers. We trek through the rainforest to caves
once inhabited by prehistoric humans, and have the option to
go “night spotting”. Next stop is Halong Bay, where
we spend 2 nights on board a traditional junk boat, cruising
the emerald waters, exploring some of the limestone caves and
islands, swimming and fishing. Flying to Hoi An we have a walking
tour of this beautiful town, a beach BBQ and boat trip, with
free time to relax, shop at the many tailor shops, or take a
Vietnamese cooking lesson. Another flight takes us to Saigon,
where we explore the Cu Chi Tunnels and the Mekong Delta and
for more fun we can arrange a trip to the Saigon Water Park.
