5 'Must Have' Travel Accessories
We all know the basic items necessary when travelling - camera, wet weather jacket, toiletries etc - but
what about some of these ultra-handy items that you may
not be aware of? Well here are a few ‘must-have’
travel accessories which will make your adventure a breeze.
1.
Tough, waterproof case for your camera –
These handy cases will ensure that your camera will not
get damaged while you are out exploring on one of our adventures.
You can also get them for your iPod, memory cards, phone,
USB stick etc.
2.
Peggless clothes line - Just attach it onto some
furniture around your room or suction it onto the tiled
walls in your bathroom and away you go - this simple invention
will save you standing around in your underwear drying your
clothes with the hairdryer.
3.
Space pen – If you’re a diary-writer
(and if you’re not then you should be… at least
while travelling…), then one of these pens will make
your life a lot easier. With a space pen you can write your
diary, do a crossword or play Sudoku at any angle without
the pen losing ink due to gravity. They can even write underwater!
Sounds nerdy, but you will find you’ll thank us for
this tip.
4.
Travel belt – Want to avoid being a daggy
tourists wearing a ‘bum-bag’ or a ‘fanny-pack’
around your waist? Then check out this plain, very inconspicuous
travel belt. There’s a secret pocket to stash your
cash and other valuables, and because it looks just like
a normal belt no pick-pocket would ever guess that your
cash is just hanging around your waist.
5.
Portable luggage scale – Ever been overseas
and bought one or two (or fifty) souvenirs too many? It
can be stressful heading to the airport, wondering what
your overweight luggage fees will be. Why not get one of
these portable luggage scales and weigh your bag before
leaving the hotel? That way, you can organize all of your
belongings into check-in and carry-on bags appropriately,
so as to avoid paying any fees.
Just check out your local adventure store, baggage
shop or go online to find these handy-dandy travel accessories!

Komodo
Kayaking Adventure - Indonesia
Hey. Just
wanted to let you know that I had a fabulous time on the Komodo
Kayaking Adventure and you should all do this new tour!
I was hesitant
about the kayaking portion of the tour, wondering what I’d
got myself into! But the water was soooo clear and there were
soooo many fish - it was amazing!
I would
definitely recommend this trip for anyone with an adventurous
spirit wanting to experience pristine national parks and untouched
tropical reefs!

Carry
a local newspaper to the markets
If you’re
planning a visit to the local markets on your holiday, be sure
to carry a local newspaper with you. Why? You will find that as
a tourist, in many countries you will get hassled by market vendors
to buy, buy, buy! If you want to stroll around and browse the
local products without being harassed, try carrying a local newspaper
under your arm.
The locals
will assume that you live in the area, and are practically a local
yourself, so there's less chance they'll hassle you - simple!
